Education

Dressage is taught at all levels.

Driving lessons are available in reinsmanship, cones and obstacle driving.

Hunter equitation over flat and fences is available to the three foot height.

Polo lessons and student memberships in the USPA and Madison Polo Club are available. New students are teamed with an experienced Madison Polo Club member, with whom they train. Student Chukkas are available each Tuesday during the outdoor season and on Wednesday evenings during the indoor season.

Horses are available for lease in most disciplines. Half and full leases are offered, starting at $250 per month. Lesson horses are available for riding and driving.

Clinics are offered on a frequent basis. Thy include driving clinics with Craig Kellogg, Bill Lauer, Mary Ruth Marks, and Dairyland Driving Club clinicians. Driving clinics are offered for beginners to advanced whips. Dressage clinics are offered with Klaus Biesenthal, Sara Schmitt and others for the First through Fourth Levels.

Events include The Hickory Knoll CDE each July, summer polo matches, driving fun days, dressage and driving schooling shows.

Lessons are available in Hunt Equitation, Dressage, Eventing, and Driving. Students must have an approved helmet, boots/paddock shoes, and gloves. Junior jumpers need USCTA vests. Lesson costs run from $40 per hour to $125 per hour depending upon the level and the instructor.
